Dr. Zerxis Umrigar, graduated from dental school in 1973, and in 1976, completed his post-graduation from the University of Iowa, U.S.A., where he taught and did research for a year, before he returned to Bombay to join his father in private practice.

Academically inclined, he has lectured extensively, conducting varied courses in Restorative Dentistry which we specialize in. His articles have figured in prominent Indian and International Journals. He heads two well appointed, sterile centric, dental clinics, which has amongst his clients, the most eminent businesspersons and professionals in the country, entertainment personalities, Members of Parliament, Consulates (British, Saudi Arabia etc.),Airlines etc. besides being the dentist to His Excellency the Governor of the State of Maharashtra and Goa.

Extremely conscious of his community and social responsibilities, Zerxis has been the President of the most prestigious Rotary Club of Bombay (2000). His present assignment is the charge of a rural charitable medical center in the interior tribal belt 160 km from Bombay. He is a trustee for Project Mainstream, a charitable organization with international funding, which aims to gainfully employ the 2 million street children of the city by teaching them a craft that will enable them to survive without falling prey to drugs, prostitution, or the underworld.

His other interests are modern indian art and outdoor sports and travel, which he has done extensively.

Dr. Sharon Umrigar has been practicing dental surgery since 2007. After graduating from dental school she completed her post graduation from New York University in Advanced General Dentistry, where she trained under some of the world’s leading dentists in Implantology, Prosthodontics and Periodontology. She continues to hone her knowledge and skills through lectures and courses taught by international authorities in the field.

Dr Umrigar has a keen interest in Community Service. She travels regularly to a charitable dental clinic in Talwada, Gujrat, serving the poor who do not have access to dental treatment. She has also been an active member of the National Service Scheme which conducts dental camps for children.

When Dr. Umrigar is not busy practicing dentistry and helping her community, she enjoys reading, cooking and travelling.

Completed her Bachelors degree (B.D.S) and was conferred the gold medal for Orthodontics and silver medal in Periodontics from Mumbai university, she went ahead and pursued her masters of Dental Surgery (M.D.S) in Periodontics from GDC&H, Mumbai, during which she won the best paper awards at the national conference of Indian Society Of Periodontics for two consecutive years.

Currently is Professor & Head Of Department, Periodontics at MGM dental college & hospital, Navi Mumbai. She is a post-graduate teacher and guide and has several postgraduates who have won awards and accolades at various international and national level speciality conferences.

Member of ITI, International Team for Implantology, Switzerland. Faculty & Consultant Periodontist , Smilecare, Mumbai. Has conducted various CDE programmes Internationally and Nationally for Smile care, India, which has a tie up with Dept. of Continuing Education, New York University College Of Dentistry.

Has a successful Practice restricted to exclusive Periodontics & Implantology for over 14yrs in Mumbai. She has been invited as a Keynote speaker, Chairperson and presented several award wining papers and held live surgical demonstrations at various National & International Forums. Has special interests in topics like Perio-esthetics, Periodontal Plastic Surgery, Interdisciplinary Periodontics, Implant site development, Management of hard and soft tissues amogst a few and has lectured extensively on these topics.

Has several International and National publications in renowned Pub Med indexed journals like Journal of Periodontology, Journal Of Indian Society Of Periodontology, Journal of Contemporary Dental Practice, Journal of Photomedicine & Laser Dentistry, Journal of Oral laser applications amongst a few to her credit. Appointed on the Editorial advisory board of Quintessence Asia Pacific Edition Journal and also a member of the review board of several national and international journals.
